Ryk’s Uke Classes Online are now part of imeetswe
Registration is open for Fall 2025!. We are now offering in-person classes as well.
Ryk Groetchen, facilitator/advocate and director of imeetswe, is offering online ukulele and singing classes. These classes are appropriate for adults and tweens/teens, and younger children who attend with an adult and want to join at their own pace without expectation.
As a neurodivergent person (ADHD, proprioception hyposensitivity, aphantasia), my particular challenges have necessitated that I think mindfully about many aspects of practice that might come more naturally to another student. I will take great care in understanding, articulating, and providing strategies for a wide range of challenges that a student might face when learning to play an instrument. We’re on this journey together, and there’s no hurry. Let’s enjoy learning about ourselves in this musical way.
If you are interested in private lessons, contact me
Thank you for your interest in learning to play the ukulele! I’m looking forward to strumming and singing with you this Fall!
All classes are family-style, so feel free to bring family members, young and old, who will benefit from community music time.
All students should bring a serviceable instrument, a tuner, and a willingness to strum, sing, and move in musical ways.
If you have any questions, or would be interested in joining or helping to recruit families, or would like to receive information about future classes, please contact ryk@ebcmp.org. Please share this announcement with anyone you think will be interested in the class. One advantage of online classes is that folks can attend from anywhere, so feel free to invite family and friends from out of town that you want to keep in touch with.
